Where Can I Serve?

Children’s Ministry – The Big Backyard
Christ instructed His disciples to allow the children to come to him, not to hinder them (Matthew 19:14). Our children’s ministry is designed to allow children to explore who God is, and when they come to know Him, provide the tools and support to help them begin their walk with God.  Our age-appropriate classes are taught by volunteers who understand what it means to have a child-like faith in God.  If you have any questions about our children’s ministry or are interested in volunteering, contact our Director, Cathy MacDonnell

Youth MinistryFUSION/IGNITE
All 9th-12th graders are welcome to come enjoy games, teaching, and worship in a friendly environment. We come along students from all walks of life to help point them to Jesus.  Fusion meets together Sunday nights at 6 pm. We also have small groups Wednesday night for 6th-12th grade, that combines fun, friendship, and finding out more about Jesus. We encourage all students to invite their friends. If you have any questions about FUSION/IGNITE or are interested in volunteering contact Laura Justesen.

Young Adults 18:2 Life
Our College-Career ministry offers young adults a place to come and dive deeper into the Word through Bible studies and activities. It also offers a place to come and talk about the every-day struggles that come with life after high school. If you want to help young adults make some of the big decisions of life with God’s wisdom and strength, we’d like to talk to you.  For more information about “18:2 Life” contact Russ and Diane York.

Small Groups
If you are interested in hosting or facilitating a home group, we would love to talk to you. We are looking for people who have the gift of hospitality and want to help others get to know each other around the study of God’s Word.  If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Russ.

Worship Team
We believe worship is an essential part of our walk with God.  The Worship team, through various gifts and talents, leads us all into the worship of God. Foundation’s music is prayed over and presented to meet the needs of each person. For information or questions regarding our worship team, contact Angie Counts.

Media and Tech
In this day and age, technology and media are central to reaching people for God.  Whether it is building a database for outreach, running sound for the Worship Team, or updating the website with current church events, the Media and Tech team at Foundation are diversified and well utilized. If you have an interest in serving or advising in this area, please contact Danae Condra.

Facility and Special Events
Keeping our ministries humming takes a lot of work.  There are stages to set, walls to fix, projects to build, items in need of repair, rooms to clean, chairs to move, etc.; and they are all supposed to be ready for each event and for every Sunday morning.  Add a few special events through the year and it can get challenging!  If you have handy-man skills, would love to help the church look as great as it can, or know how to pull up your sleeves things done, we’d love to have you join our Facility Team.  If you are interested, please contact Gene Tognazzini.

Vacation Bible School
Foundation Baptist Church does VBS!  And we do it BIG!  If you have not had the chance to be a part of our Vacation Bible School Ministry you are missing out.  We have a heart to touch kid’s lives and introduce them to Jesus Christ. Our church is filled with talented servant-minded people who pour out their lives to make VBS a life-changing experience for kids (and adults :).  If you are interested in playing a bigger role in our VBS ministry, please contact Cathy MacDonnell.

Summer Camp Counselors
Our kids go to Hume Lake Christian Camp every summer.  They are able to offer camps for upper-elementary kids, junior highers, and high schoolers all during the same week.  Having all of our kids at camp has been a huge blessing to everyone involved.  If you would like to be a camp counselor or help us coordinate the many pieces of the camp experience, please contact Dyia Kwalwasser.

Mission Outreach

Foundation is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world.  Foundation Baptist Church is active in sending and supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means taking part in a short-term mission’s trip or to minister in our own community.  For more information, please contact Pastor Russ.
